Ottawa, ON. The RCMP Foundation is proud to invite Canadians to embark on a remarkable journey, transcending borders and boundaries to foster unity, healing and Reconciliation. The One Spirit Unity Run is an extraordinary event that is poised to bring people together from all walks of life, celebrating the spirit of unity, diversity and community.
In a world often marked by division and discord, the One Spirit Unity Run is a shining beacon of hope, demonstrating that when we come together, we can overcome any challenge. This event is not just a run/walk event, it’s a movement, a testament to the power of unity achieving common goals and an opportunity to take literal steps towards Reconciliation.
“We believe that unity is the cornerstone of progress,” says Kevin Lawton, Executive Director of the RCMP Foundation. “We’re honoured to have partnered with Indigenous communities across the country in the planning of this initiative, and we are excited to give rise to hope, healing and Reconciliation.”
The One Spirit Unity Run hopes to raise funds for Indigenous operated charitable organizations across Canada. The RCMP Foundation will be donating all net proceeds to organizations selected by the communities who are assisting in planning the event.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner, first-timer, or simply someone who believes in the power of unity, the One Spirit Unity Run welcomes you with open arms. Enregistrement today and join us at one of our locations across Canada, or join us virtually from your community on October 22nd!
The RCMP Foundation, founded in 1994, is a nationally registered charity and is the namesake charity of the RCMP. The One Spirit Unity Run is an Indigenous led, community guided and RCMP supported initiative.
