Dr. Marie Delorme,  Chair
Chief Executive Officer, 
The Imagination Group of Companies

Dr. Marie Delorme is CEO of The Imagination Group of Companies. She is Vice-Chair of the RCMP Foundation Board.  She serves on the River Cree Enterprises Board, the National Aboriginal Economic Development Board, is an advisor to two Universities.

She has received the Indspire Award in Business and Commerce; and was named as one of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women. Dr. Delorme has also received the University of Calgary Dr. Douglas Cardinal Award; Alberta Chamber of Commerce Business Award of Distinction; Calgary Chamber of Commerce Salute to Excellence Award, and Métis Nation Entrepreneurial Leadership Award.

Dr. Delorme holds a Bachelor of Science degree, a Master of Business Administration from Queen's University, and PhD from the University of Calgary. Her research focuses on inter-cultural leadership.

Steve Meston, Vice Chair

Managing Director & Head, Corporate Banking – International, Capital Markets, CIBC

Steve Meston is Managing Director & Head, Corporate Banking – International, Capital Markets, CIBC, where he is responsible for CIBC’s corporate banking activities outside of Canada. 

Mr. Meston joined CIBC in 1987, assuming positions of increasing responsibility primarily in Toronto, Ontario.  In 1998, he was appointed Vice-President, Commercial Banking, Atlantic Canada, and in 2001 relocated to New York as Executive Director in the Equities Division of CIBC World Markets.  In 2003 he returned to Canada as Vice-President, Oil & Gas and Alberta Region, Commercial Banking, and in 2006 was appointed Senior Vice-President, Western Canada, Commercial Banking based in Calgary.  Steve returned to Toronto in 2013 as Senior Vice-President, President’s Choice Financial, leading CIBC’s direct bank in partnership with Loblaw.  He assumed his current position in November, 2015.

Mr. Meston graduated from The University o fWestern Ontario in 1987 with a Bachelor of Honors Business Administration and in 1992 with a Master of Business Administration.  He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.  

Ronald Bain, Director
Executive Director, Ontario Chiefs of Police Association

Since June 1st, 2007, Ronald Bain has served as the Executive Director for the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police.  Previous to this, Ron served Ontario as the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM), Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services from 2004 to 2006. As a result of his appointment as ADM, Ron retired from the Peel Regional Police holding the rank of Deputy Chief of Police. He has been engaged in policing for over forty years, having served with Metropolitan Toronto and Parry Sound Police before joining Peel Regional Police in 1979. 

His professional development has included numerous courses and seminars, including both the National Academy course and the Executive Development program of the F.B.I. Academy in Quantico, Virginia and the Strategic Command Course at National Police Training, Bramshill, England in 1999.  In March, 2000, he became a graduate of the University of Cambridge, England in Applied Criminology and Police Studies.  In June of 2012, Ron was awarded an Honourary Bachelor of Applied Studies Degree from Humber University.  He has lectured extensively on change management, police leadership and executive development, major crime investigations and major case management both nationally and internationally.  

Richard Bélanger, Director

Mr. Richard Bélanger is a seasoned business advisor with extensive management experience and over 15 years of experience in executive recruitment.

Before joining Leaders & Co., he founded RBA (Richard Bélanger & Associates) in 1999 in Toronto and opened an office in Montreal in 2001. He also led another executive search firm based in Toronto. He carried out more than 350 mandates, both for SMEs and multinational corporations, particularly in the areas of sales, marketing, communications, investments, public relations and government affairs.

Previously, he was President of a subsidiary of an important retailer and distributor generating $100 million in revenues with over 800 employees. He also held important roles as a member of the management team of this Canadian leader in consumer products. Throughout his career, he has been involved in all aspects of sales, marketing, promotion and public relations.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration with majors in Marketing and Management.

Grant A. Jameson, LL.B, ICD.D, Director

Grant Jameson is a lawyer, corporate director, community leader, accomplished speaker and dedicated supporter of the arts.  He is a former Senior Partner and Ottawa Managing Partner of Norton Rose Fulbright, a global law firm, having practiced law from 1976 until 2016.  Grant has over 30 years of integrated professional leadership experience in business, community engagement, fundraising and education through the practice of law, law firm management, business, and his dedication to worthy causes that benefit the arts, human rights, health care and corporate governance.  He has received a number of awards for his leadership and contribution.   Grant’s involvement includes the RCMP Foundation, Ottawa Chamber Music Society, Institute of Corporate Directors, Federal Liberal Agency of Canada, Canadiana Fund, Canadian Nurses Foundation, Canadian Club of Ottawa, Ottawa Arts Court Foundation, Canadian Red Cross, The Audette Foundation, and the EGALE Human Rights Trust.  

Janet MacMillan APR, Fellow CRS, Director

Janet MacMillan's career with NATIONAL Public Relations spans over 20 years. She currently serves as lead strategic counsel to a number of the firm’s clients and specializes in such areas as risk and crisis management, communications and media relations, citizen engagement and governance and regulatory matters. 

In 2006, Janet was inducted as a Fellow in the Canadian Public Relations Society. She is certified by the U.S.-based Institute for Crisis Management and the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2).

As a volunteer, Janet has considerable governance experience, having served on (or currently serving on) a number of international, national and regional boards. 

Michael Martin, Director 
Senior Director, Motorola Solutions Canada

Michael has over 30 years of experience working as a business leader in the field of telecommunications, IT, security and complex application development. Presently he is a senior executive with Motorola Solutions Canada located in Ottawa, Ontario. Michael works closely with Government leaders (including the RCMP) supporting their requirements for mission critical public safety communication solutions.  Prior to Motorola, Michael spent three years as the Federal Practice lead at Accenture, ten years at TELUS as Managing Director of Public Sector Solutions,  Vice President of Public Sector Marketing and sixteen years as Director of Engineering with Telesat Canada. Michael holds an Electronics Engineering Diploma from Algonguin College and has completed advanced business studies at Ivey Business School, Rotman School of Business and INSEAD.  


Ruth Ramsden-Wood, Director

Former President and CEO, United Way of Calgary

Formerly the President of Calgary's United Way,  Ruth remains actively engaged in the Calgary community.  She is a graduate of the ICD Corporate Director's Education Program, a member of the Executive of the Calgary Chapter of ICD and a member of the ICD National Office Not For Profit Working Group.  She is a Director of the National Institute of Canadian Citizenship; the Calgary Opera Board; and the RCMP Foundation Board.  She is the Vice-President of the Alberta Champion Society; a member of the Advisory Board for the Canadian Centre for Advanced Leadership at the Haskayne School of Business; and she serves on the Calgary Greenway Patrons Council.   She is the Past President of the Calgary Chapter of the International Women's Forum.

Ruth has received numerous awards including an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from the University of Calgary, the Strategic Leadership Forum's President of the Year, and Consumers' Choice Business Woman of the Year.  A recipient of the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal for volunteer service and the Alberta Centennial Medal, Ruth is committed to service to the community.  She holds a Master of Arts degree from Teacher's College at Columbia University. 


Stacey Sandison, Director

Stacey Sandison is the Chief Strategy Officer at SaskTel. In  her 30 years with the company, she has held positions in Marketing, Sales, Mobility, Customer Services and Operations. Stacey previously served on the SaskTel Superannuation Board, SecurTek and the Canadian Wireless Telecom Association. Currently she serves on the Board of Canadian Women in Communications.

Stacey holds a Bachelor of Administration degree from the University of Regina, and a Master of Business Administration from Ellis College, New York. 


Assistant Commissioner Serge Therriault, Director (Ex-Officio)
Executive Director, Public Affairs  
Royal Canadian Mounted Police 

After joining the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in 1984, A/Commr. Therriault performed front line policing duties and federal enforcement in aboriginal, rural, and urban communities

During his career, he was selected to lead numerous multi-disciplinary teams based on personal achievements and operational successes.  As a commissioned officer of the RCMP, he conducted notable national and international criminal investigations. 

From 2008 to 2012, as Criminal Operations Officer in the National Capital, he oversaw investigations related to National Security, International Anti-Corruption, Organized Crime, War Crimes and Crimes against Humanity, Cyber and Financial Crimes.  

In October 2012, A/Commr. Therriault accepted a position as the Deputy Police Commissioner with the United Nations in Haiti for HNP (Haitian National Police) and soon after designed as the MINUSTAH Police Commissioner.  In that role, he led the advancement of some 70 activities within the 2012/2016 Plan for the improvement of the institution.

Upon his return to Canada, A/Commr. Therriault was named RCMP’s Executive Director Public Affairs, with the mandate to provide communication advice to senior executive cadre, and is responsible for National Communication Services; Strategic Partnership and Heritage Branch and the corporate image of the Musical Ride; media relations and corporate communications.


Stephen Watson, Director
Senior Vice President of Strategic Growth, Carillion

Stephen Watson is Senior Vice President of Strategic Growth. Since 2011, he has led the development and implementation of Carillion's strategy, marketing, communications and bidding activities for the business in all markets in Canada and the Caribbean.

Stephen joined Carillion in 2002 and was soon promoted to Business Development Director for the construction business in the United Kingdom in 2009. He is a Board Director of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business, as well as a Board Director of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Foundation.

Stephen is a graduate of the University of London and Liverpool John Moores University with a Master of Science degree in Financial Economics and a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree respectively.
